I’ve discovered something wonderful.
I absolutely love being a grandma.
There’s something almost surreal about watching your own child become a parent. One minute, you’re the one packing snacks, wiping sticky fingers, and wondering whether you’ll ever sleep through the night again. The next, you’re watching the child you raised do those same things with a little one of their own.
Talk about a full-circle moment.
And I have to admit, being Grandma comes with some excellent perks. I get the cuddles, the smiles, the tiny hands wrapped around my finger, and all those sweet little moments that make everything else disappear.
Then I get to hand the baby back when things become noisy or suspiciously smelly.
It’s a very good system.
But beneath all the fun is something deeper. Watching my child become a loving, patient parent fills me with more pride than I can put into words. I see pieces of the past blending with something completely new, and it reminds me how quickly life moves.
The days can feel long when you’re raising children, but the years fly by.
Now I get to watch a new generation grow, laugh, learn, and discover the world. I get to cheer them on, spoil them just a little, and love them with my whole heart.
Being a grandma is a chapter I didn’t know I would love quite this much.
But I do.
Every cuddle, every giggle, and every beautiful full-circle moment.
All the best,
Tia
